Navratri Colours 2024

New Shardiya Navratri 2024 will begin on October 3rd and end on October 11th. Each day of the festival is associated with a different color and goddess. The colors represent various qualities and devotees are advised to offer flowers of the corresponding color to each goddess. The colors include pink, white, red, orange, yellow, purple, royal blue, green, and grey. Worshiping the goddesses is believed to bring blessings and fulfillments of desires.

Skanda Mata, Day 1 - October 03, (Thursday)


Navratri color of the day - Yellow
Yellow colour is dedicated to Goddess Skanda Mata who holds the Kartikeya in his lap. She is the divine mother and loves to wear yellow colour clothes. Yellow colour show the nurturing nature of the mother. Devotees must offer yellow coloiur clothes and flowers to Goddess Skandamata.


Mahagauri, Day 2 - October 04, (Friday)


Navratri color of the day - Green
Green colour is associated with Goddess Gauri as she purifies the heart and soul. Devotees are suggested to offer green colour clothes to Maa Mahagauri and get blessed with marital happiness and well being.


Kalaratri, Day 3 - October 05, (Saturday)


Navratri color of the day - Grey
Kalaratri is the seventh incarnation of Goddess Durga, and she represents emancipation and destruction. She is often depicted riding a donkey, which is a symbol of her fearless nature


Kushmanda, Day 4 - October 06, (Sunday)


Navratri color of the day - Orange
This vibrant orange colour represents energy and power. Goddess Kushmanda is the source of light so this colour is purely dedicated to Goddess. Devotees must offer organe colour daisy flower to Goddess Kushmanda on the day of fourth Navratri.


Brahmcharini, Day 5 - October 07, (Monday)


Navratri color of the day - White
Goddess Brahmcharini penances several years for Lord Shiva. She wears white during these whole years which is the colour of peace and celibacy. Devotees who worship Goddess Brahmacharini, get blessed with prosperity, knowledge and wisdom. They are suggested to offer Mogra flowers to Mata Brahmacharini.


Chandraghanta, Day 6 - October 08, (Tuesday)


Navratri color of the day - Red
Mata Chandraghanta wears red colour clothes, which is the colour of courage and strength. Devotees are advised to offer red olour flowers to Goddess Chandraghanta.


Brahmacharini, Day 7 - October 09, (Wednesday)


Navratri color of the day - Royal Blue
The royal blue colour is a symbol of peace, calm and the infinite power and love of the Goddess. It is associated with Goddess Brahmacharini, who is the epitome of harmony, peace, and devotion. Wearing royal blue on the second day will help you feel more at ease as you blend into your spiritual energy during Navratri


Shailputri, Day 8 - October 10, (Thursday)


Navratri color of the day - Pink
The festival of Navratri starts with the colour Pink. Colour pink represents joy, happiness and enthusiasm. Goddess Shailputri is the daughter of King Himalaya. She get dressed in colour pink clothes and devotees are advised to offer pink colour flowers to Goddess Shailputri.
